  Under-20 Minnesota Select Boy's Team

Formerly the Under-19 Select team (just renamed to align with the International Rugby designations), the Under-20 Select team is made up of the top boys selected from all of the 50 schools with rugby programs in Minnesota.

As the Under-19 select team, last year was very successful. The squad played in three top North American tournaments

    • Colorado
    • Maryland
    • Canada invitational

They had a winning record of 8-2 for these tournaments.

In addition, eight out of the squad of 35 of the youngsters were selected to tryout for the USA Eagles, the National Rugby Team, of which five made the cut. This is the highest number of players ever from Minnesota to be included in the National Eagles Squads.

National Honors

The US National Under-19 boy's team came third in the 2007 World championships held in Ireland.

They were only beaten once in the tournament by the eventual champions Italy.

One of the starters for the team was Nick Johnson who is the captain of the MN select team
